Menswork Development - a social enterprise inquiry
Menswork Development - A social enterprise inquiry, emerged from the Menswork 2005 seminar held at Oxford Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, UK, on July 1st 2005.
The Menswork Development Trustees: John Campbell, Hugh Dennis, Wynn Rees, Chris Sharpe, James Traeger, are a group of men who have all been involved in men's development for some time. We decided to start an inquiry process about:
How can we support and sustain engagement around men's development?
Stage 1 -- To inquire across all the perspectives:
What does men's development need?
How can we work together to achieve more for men's development?
N.B.: Not what do 'I' need, nor what do 'men' need -- but
Men's Development as a movement/process for change
Stage 2 -- Build a partnership and collaborative group
Stage 3 -- Run an event (s)
Conferences, seminars, workshops, meetings,
To inquire what is going on?
To network
To look at ways to work together
To address gaps -- who is missing?
To develop as a network -- and plan the next event(s)
To explore mens leadership in mens development
To engage a global perspective
